This hotel gets high marks for convenience (it's right on Dupont Circle), service, and comfort. A thorough renovation in 2009 put an urban-chic spin on guest room appearance and amenities. Expect spa-style bathrooms with heated marble floors and Kohler rain shower heads equipped with body massage features; luxurious pillow-top mattresses with down comforters, duvet covers, and bolster pillows; and LG flatscreen televisions. Each of the large rooms is furnished with either a king-size bed or two double beds with firm mattresses, a desk, and a minibar. Despite its prime location in a sometimes-raucous neighborhood, the hotel's rooms are insulated from the noise. The hotel's restaurant, Café Dupont, provides a perfect spot to slurp a cosmo and dine on seared red snapper, while watching an entertaining cast of Dupont Circle characters pass by.
