Frommer's Review
For all of the Peters and Wendys out there who never wanna grow up, but who are old enough to drink. Arrive at the right time and you'll find everyone jumping up and down on the furniture. Located on the second floor of a town house in the same block of Connecticut Avenue as Dragonfly and 1223, Play is all about having a good time. Patrons rave about the DJ's choice of tunes, everything from '80s disco to Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas. Those not bouncing on couches and ottomans are twirling around the stripper pole or go-go dancing on platforms set against the wall. Like all the latest clubs, Play allows you to reserve your own spot, to the tune of a $500 bar tab. Otherwise, the cover is usually $10. Open after 10pm: until 2am Tuesday and Thursday, until 3am Friday and Saturday.
