In an attractive glass-walled building a block off the water in downtown Coupeville, Christopher's may not have much in the way of water-views, but it does boast the prettiest dining room and serves some of the best food in town. Chef/owner Andreas Wurzrainer is from Austria, and occasionally dishes from the home country show up on the menu. For the most part, the menu sticks to familiar fare such as shrimp scampi and cioppino, though you'll also find dishes such as barbecued salmon with raspberry barbecue sauce. It would be foolish to pass up the Penn Cove mussels, which are steamed with white wine, garlic, and herbs.
