Frommer's Review
Three miles west of Coupeville off Madrona Way stands one of the Northwest's most unusual inns. Shady, quiet grounds offer a tranquil setting that has revived flagging spirits for more than a century. Built in 1907 of small madrona logs, the historic inn is architecturally fascinating, a bit of American folk art. I love the character of this place, though it is not for everyone. The rooms in the main building are small and lack private bathrooms, but they manage to capture the feel of the island's seafaring past. Suites, cottages, and cabins are available for those who need more space (though none of these have as much character as the inn rooms). The inn's dining room overlooks Penn Cove, and serves mussels from the cove.
Facilities:
Restaurant (Northwest) and lounge
