Planning a Trip

Getting There -- White River Junction is easily reached via either I-89 or I-91, which converge just south of town. Norwich may be reached from exit 13 on I-91, or by driving north from White River Junction on Route 5. White River Junction is also served by one daily Amtrak (tel. 800/872-7245) train from New York City, an inexpensive ride -- though it takes 7 1/2 hours to get here.

Visitor Information -- The Upper Valley Chamber of Commerce (tel. 802/295-6200) staffs an information center near the railroad station in downtown White River Junction. It's open from 9:30am to 4:30pm daily during the peak season (summer and foliage season). Call for more information.
