Quail Run is a hybrid of the sort New England could use more of: an intimate B&B that welcomes families (and even pets). Set on 13 acres in the hills east of Route 100, the converted ski lodge features guest rooms in a contemporary country style. Family accommodations include king and bunk beds; the standard rooms are motel-size, and four have gas fireplaces. The inn also sports an attractive heated outdoor pool and eight-person Jacuzzi.
