Frommer's Review
The Inn at Sawmill Farm is spread over 28 acres, and it was one of the very first inns in New England to cater to affluent travelers -- a lead that many, many others have since followed. (The impressive wine cellar is a tip-off.) Guest rooms in this old farmhouse, parts of which date back to 1797, are distinctive, but all share a similar look, with contemporary country styling and Colonial reproduction furniture. Among the best are Cider House No. 2, with its rustic beams and oversize canopy bed, and the Woodshed, a quiet cottage with a beautiful brick fireplace and a cozy loft. Some guests report that in recent years the inn has lost a bit of its burnish, and, especially given the high room rates, service is no longer as good.
Facilities:
Restaurant; outdoor pool; tennis court

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
