Visitor Information

The Winchester/Frederick County Visitors Center, 1360 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., Winchester, VA 22601 (tel. 540/542-1326; fax 540/450-0099; www.visitwinchesterva.com), is open daily from 9am to 5pm; closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The center shows an 18-minute video about the area and has a small exhibit about Patsy Cline, Winchester's contribution to country music. Take Exit 313 off I-81, go west on U.S. 50, and follow the signs.

Getting There

Winchester is on I-81, U.S. 11, U.S. 522, U.S. 50, and Va. 7.
