A distinctive triangular building of local Tyndall stone, the Winnipeg Art Gallery houses one of the world's largest collections of contemporary Inuit art. Other collections focus on historic and contemporary Canadian art, as well as British and European artists such as Eugene-Loius Boudin. The decorative art collections feature works by Canadian silversmiths and studio potters, while the photography collection contains large-scale works by Edward Burtynsky and represents other 20th-century photographers, such as Diane Arbus and Ian Wallace. You'll always find a number of interesting rotating exhibits on display, as well. The Storm Restaurant overlooks the fountain and flowers in the sculpture court. It's open daily except Monday for lunch.
