The city's most important showcase for music, classical drama (in German only), and opera is the Städtisches Spiel und Festhaus (ca. 1962), Rathenaustrasse 11 (tel. 06241/22525; bus: 2).
Don't expect raucous nightlife in Worms. Our best advice, if you want a drink in the town center, is to head for the Judengasse (bus: 2), a street with a denser collection of nightlife options than any other in town. One of the most appealing is the Affenhaus, Judengasse 17 (tel. 06241/22216), which opens for business every day at 10am, carrying on into the wee hours.
