Dumplings are raised to a high art form at this huge and lively restaurant located next to the Bell Tower Square. The canteen downstairs is always bustling and serves a variety of dumplings and side dishes wheeled around on carts. Upstairs De Fa Chang is a little more refined, and serves an unbelievable 18-course dumpling meal (¥88). Tasty xiaochi, or little eats, resembling flying saucers, mouse heads, and walnuts will also come in a steady stream to your table.
