Restaurants

The coast is not very far away, so there is still a good deal of seafood to had in the mountains at small family-run restaurants in the resort area. I enjoyed eating a selection of local dishes at the Yandang Te Se Xiao Chi (Fresh Produce Restaurant), a few doors along from the post office, including toadstools and chrysanthemum flowers (ping gu chao huang hua cai) and mountain peonies fried with meat (shan shao chao rou shi). In addition, maofeng tea grows in places of high altitude and abundant fog and is one of the treasures of this area.
