Getting There

By Car -- Terrace is 152km (94 miles) east of Prince Rupert on the Yellowhead Highway (Hwy. 16). From Terrace to Prince George, it's another 571km (354 miles).

By Train -- VIA Rail (tel. 888/VIA-RAIL; www.viarail.ca) operates four-times-weekly service between Prince George and Prince Rupert, with stops including Smithers, New Hazelton, and Terrace. The train follows the same route as the Yellowhead Highway.

By Bus -- Greyhound Canada (tel. 800/661-8747 or 604/482-8747; www.greyhound.ca) travels twice daily between Prince Rupert and Prince George. One-way fare from Prince Rupert to Terrace is about C$30 (US$30/£15).
