Breakfast and lunch at the Grant Village restaurant are much like those at the other restaurants in the park, although the chef often surprises diners with interesting dinner items that stray from the norm. Lunch might include pan-fried trout covered with toasted pecans and lemon butter, huge burgers, and a top-notch chicken-and-tortilla-strip salad. The dinner menu ranges from huckleberry chicken to polenta lasagna to prime rib, but the specialty is trout, prepared in three creative ways: stuffed with crabmeat with jalapeño sauce, pan-fried with pecans, or sautéed with bacon and green onion. Quality and ambience here are comparable to those of the better dining rooms at the major park hotels.
