The Dairy is a lovingly restored and upgraded Victorian townhouse, keeping its 19th-century character and original features. In central York, Dairy Guest House is less than 330 yards south of the medieval city walls. It is an easy walk from York's many attractions and museums. Each individually styled room has a TV with DVD, hot-drink facilities, mineral water, hairdryer and alarm clock. You will also find toiletries and information folders. Some rooms have ceiling fans. Dairy Guest House was originally a family home and joinery business, built in 1890. It then became a dairy for many years, until being turned into a guest house in 1978.
