Reprising the themes of the Bradford Industrial Museum, this UNESCO World Heritage site comprises a restored model factory-community that was developed in the mid-19th century by mill owner and philanthropist Sir Titus Salt. It remains a working village; besides simply strolling around to look at the well-preserved Victorian Italianate architecture, you can visit Salts Mill (, which has a local history exhibition and various galleries (one showcasing works by Bradford-born and educated painter and print-maker David Hockney), eateries, and shops.
