There are very few moderately priced or bargain hotels in Zagreb. In fact, unless you go with private accommodations, most options are at the extreme ends of the price -- and quality -- list. However, special rates at the better hotels are sometimes available on weekends, over the Internet, or for multiday stays, but you have to ask. For the most part, no matter where you stay, you will find clean, adequate rooms with private bathrooms, but except for top-end hotels, Zagreb accommodations are usually bland. Generally, accommodations prices in the city are not subject to seasonal changes or cash discounts, and most hotels include breakfast.
