This is a terrific place for meat dishes prepared in various tantalizing sauces. You won't find fish on the menu here -- just meat and lots of it. Choose between veal, beef, ostrich, turkey, pork, horse, chicken, and ostrich. For each, a selection of sauces is available. For example, beef is served in either a mushroom, truffle, pepper, or cheese sauce. The portions are generous and all meat dishes are accompanied by a choice of either homemade gnocchi or croquettes. If meat is not your fancy, then not to worry since the fuzi (pasta)with truffle sauce is one of the best in the city. For starters, there is a selection of local meats and cheeses. The wine selection is quite adequate as well. With its old-country decor and only 10 small tables inside, Kod Zaca provides a cozy and very casual atmosphere in which to dine and feel relaxed.
