Frommer's Review
The Central's location across the street from Zagreb's main train station is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it's convenient to transportation; and on the other, rooms facing the street where trams rumble by day and night can be noisy, so you have to choose between a view and quiet. The quality of the Central's rooms' decor is Wal-Mart, but they are outfitted with a decent number of amenities following a 2002 renovation. Most rooms have showers rather than tubs. The lower-level dining room is bright and cheery. Room prices are moderate rather than bargain-priced (for Zagreb), but you're paying for location.
