NH Gran Hotel
NH Hoteles seems to specialize in finding neglected gems and bringing them back to life. Created by the crown in 1929 as one of a national string of fine hotels, the Gran enjoys wonderful bone structure—that is, a fine Art Deco exterior and well-laid-out public rooms. NH basically gutted the upstairs guest floors to create contemporary rooms with a maximum of marble tiling, contrasting dark wood, and the signature superb desk arrangement.
