Decorated in tones of marine blue with lots of highly varnished wood, this is the most elegant of the several dining choices in the Hotel Post. A fresh antipasto buffet is laid out in what used to be a boat, and the cuisine -- which some visitors consider a welcome change from a constant diet of Swiss alpine food -- features seafood and Italian choices. Menu items include a selection of homemade pastas with savory sauces, and freshly prepared veal, poultry, and meat dishes. Many diners opt for a before- or after-dinner drink in the Boathouse Bar. Crafted from the cabin of a once-glamorous three-masted schooner, it seats only a dozen drinkers in cozy, knee-rubbing proximity. The spillover from the main bar moves into what's affectionately known as "The Disaster Room," where photos of the 20th century's greatest marine disasters are prominently displayed.
