A favorite of locals and visitors, this busy cafe offers good pizza and pasta in a funky atmosphere -- a former Mormon church with a turquoise steeple. The dining room has small, closely spaced tables and black-and-white photos on the walls. The pizzas, with lots of chewy crust, are baked in a slate stone oven. You can choose one of the house favorites, such as the Southwest burrito pizza or barbecue chicken pizza, but also get a basic cheese pizza or create your own by adding any of the roughly 17 extra toppings, from pepperoni to green chilies to pineapple. The menu also offers pastas, such as chicken parmesan, or penne pasta with grilled chicken, broccoli, carrots, fresh cream, and cheese; plus calzones and stromboli. Takeout and delivery service are provided. Beer is served inside and in the delightful year-round beer garden.
