Althanský palác

This romantic and tastefully reconstructed town palace is easily the nicest hotel in town. The location is dead center, and perfect for exploring the main squares or the tiny alleyways that overlook the river valley. Many of the rooms have retained their period details, like hardwood floors and beam ceilings. Ask to see a few before deciding. The beautiful "Blue Room," with pale blue walls and wood floors, goes for the price of an ordinary double. The in-house restaurant is one of the best around.
