Heard a great interview with a Frommer's author who's written a travel memoir called "The Noodle Road"
I used her book to China and it was so terrific that I remembered her name (jen Lin Liu). She also started a cooking school there that I was all set to try but then I had to cut my trip short (long story). Anyway, Liu has a memoir out about trying to find the origin of the noodle, and it sounds like it should be a great read from the interview I heard. I've ordered the book and will report back.
