A family trip to share!
We're back from a successful and memorable 10 day holiday in Kenya and think we should share our experience with the other members, as the service we got was far beyond our expectations. Our trip was organized by a Kenya Tour operator, Maracom Adventure. Michael of the agency was of great help from our enquiry stage to the time of arrival in Nairobi. He offered lots of advice, recommendations and flexibility. He's proactive and always replied promptly to our emails, could call us if and when necessarym etc. On arrival at the airport, we were met with a broad amile by Michael and his driver, David and transferred to the Panafric hotel for overnight. The following day after program briefing, departure for the famous Masai Mara game reserve. Three days in the reserve where almost all the African mammal species have found refuge. Overnight in Keekorok lodge, one of the oldest in the reserve, but with a lot of charm, ambiance and decor befitting the environment. We then headed to Lake Najuru national park, formerly an ornithological paradise, but now in the absence of the famous flamingos, this lake is not the same as we saw it some eight years ago. We spotted 6 white rhinos with two babies. Then to Lake Naivasha to unwind for one night at the Naivasha Sopa resort, with a boat ride on the lake. Next day was Amboseli national park, with overnight at the Sentrim camp, with Mt. Kilimanjaro at the background, fantastic views! Lots of elephantsand other plains game. Our safari ended in Tsavo West, with its breathtaking landscapes, before heading to the coast. Five days by the beach at the Baobab beach reasort, south of Mombasa.
Our driver/guide David was very good, always punctual, charming, well informed, safe and we enjoyed every bit of his company. Without any reservations, we can honestly recommend this operator, as the memories of this trip will linger forever in our minds. Kudos to the Maracom adventure team, and especially to Michael and David who made our trip a dream come true.
