A Couple of Hours in Liechtenstein--Recommend Gasthaus zum Hirschen in Mauren
On our Alpine trip, we decided to cross into Liechtenstein after driving the Silvretta High Alpine road on our way to Bregenz. We basically just wanted to get the Liechtenstein stamp in our passports and be able to say we'd been there. After crossing the border, we decided to have a late lunch while there.
We dined at Gasthaus zum Hirschen in Mauren. It was a pleasant place (we ate outside) with friendly and efficient service. I recommend it if you're ever in the area.
We did have to ask the border officer to stamp our passports as, at first, he just waved us through when we showed them to him.
