South East Asia

by sinhasiha »

Am thinking of heading that direction for 3 or 4 weeks. I'm drawn to seeing Malaysia but not sure if there are other countries more worth seeing eg Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos/etc. Really want to see good scenery, rainforests, rivers, temples.

Has anyone travelled a bit over that direction. Would be interested to hear any feedback on countries you enjoyed most or any sights you'd recommend.

Thanks

Living the high life in Kuala Lumpur isn’t reserved for the singles and couples only. If you are in the capital city of Malaysia with your family, do not think that travelling to the popular landmarks is the only way to spend your holiday. Since you will be travelling with your family, make sure you choose the safest mode of transport i.e. buses, Check RED bus well in advance.

Here are some family outings to plan for the next time you visit KL with the family in tow:

  1. Hit Avenue K and head onto level three of this place to battle it out among your family members with a game of ping pong. The family that plays together, stays together.

  2. Batu Caves is a place every traveller must tick off their bucket list. Expose your children to the wonders of nature and caves by visiting the 400-million-year old limestone cave.

  3. Another fun way to bond with the entire family is by walking along the nature trail at the KL Forest Eco Park. There’s no better way to foster a feeling of conserving the environment by being one with it.

  4. The more one learns about the culture, the better. The free performances held at Central Market’s Outdoor Stage, backed with music and traditional costumes, will leave the entire family enthralled.
