Restaurant advice for Las Vegas. Thank You In Advance

by KaraJane »

It's difficult to find an inexpensive steakhouse in Las Vegas! For Italian, I'd recommend the Mario Batali place in the Venetian (blanking on its name but its right in the middle of "St Marks Square". We didn't think that was too pricey. Have fun!

I am taking my daughter to Las Vegas for her 40th Birthday. I need help picking out resturants moderately priced for  each nights dinner (we'll be there for four nights). I would like the name of a Italian, A Good Steak house, and American. This is my first trip to Vegas.  We are staying at New York-New York Hotel. Many thanks.

Mon Ami Gabi (French) is at the Paris.  They have an indoor and outdoor seating area.  I like it for lunch.

Maggiano’s Little Italy is a chain, but you get a lot of decent food at somewhat reasonable prices.  It is in the Fashion Show Mall.

The Steak House at Circus Circus used to be very good with a nice atmosphere.  I have not been there for several years, so quality may have changed.

Stay away from Zeffirino in the Venetian. It is ery expensive, not that good, and bad & rude service.

Hope this doesn't come too late, but the steakhouse in Bally's is actually quite good, and I always see discount coupons for it, which can lower the costs there tremendously (I think you can get half-off coupons at the Tix 4 Tonight booth most nights--those are the booths that sell half-priced tickets for show). The restaurant is kind of hidden in the basement which must be why they need to discount. I thought the steak I had there was terrific, and the service was great, too.

"Moderately priced" and Vegas usually don't go hand in hand, especially if you want a Steakhouse environment. The SW Steakhouse at the Wynn Hotel is probably my personal favorite. I'm not a big gambler so personally I like to spend my money on better meals at fancier restaurants since that isn't something I get to do often!
