I think you're onto some good ideas here. I would drop San Blas unless you can spend 2 days there - it doesn't make much sense to make an effort to get here and then return the next day. You could get to El Valle and spend a day and a half here. It's only an hour or so from Panama City, so head there ealy on Sunday and return to Panama City Monday or Tuesday and fly to Bocas. El Valle is pretty and mountainous, and has a laidback vibe that will be a nice contrast to the beach destinations that you'll be visiting. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you austin traveler -

we changed our plans to this: we are going mid May btw

day 1,2,3 Panama City (figure we will do day trips from here)

Day 4&5 fly to David then taxi to Boquete

day 6,7,8 shuttle to Bocas del Toro (Koko resort)

day 9- back to PC then home

how does that sound?

That sounds like a great plan. You'll get a little of everything with that. It's about a 45-minute drive to Boquete, so taking a taxi could be mildly expensive. If you have deep(ish) pockets, then go for this, as it will be super convenient. Otherwise, it will be easy to catch a shuttle there from David.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
