In Response to Too hilly for someone with a disability?:[QUOTE]\Your daughter is absolutely right--many of the hotels of St. Lucia are on cliffs overlooking the beach and the sea, and involves stairways that you are constantly ascending and descending to reach various faciliites of the hotel. But there are a few properties on level land, of which the Rendezvous is a top example where my wife and I have stayed. And it involves no walking if you book yourself into one of its many cottges along the beach. It's a fine island, one of the Caribbean's best, but beware those vertical hotels!
I'm a slow walker. I've been thinking of going to St. Lucia. But my daughter went and said that the hotels are all up on cliffs so that there are lots of stairs to the beach. Is this true? She made it sound lovely otherwise. But I'm worried about getting around.
