American Airlines and Luggage Charges
From Otto Fafoglia: "Purchased cruise package thru Celebrity cruise line and local travel agent in October, 02. for air travel Feb.8th. On checking in to St. Louis American Airlines, they charged me $25 for my luggage cause weight was 61 lbs. Wife's luggage was 55 lbs. Charged me additional $25. Counter person told me on 12/4/02, American charges for over 50 lb. limit. I was under impression that 70 lbs. was limit. She said it changed. I paid the additional 50 bucks to move along cause line was backing up. Later, I overheard a lady said they didnt charge her for overweight bags cause she booked before 12/4/02. When I spoke to Cruise line personnel on ship, said nothing she could do; it was between airline and me." more>

From Leslie B. McWilliams: "In August there was a message about a great canopy tour through Gaialink Tours. I contacted the company and began talking with one of the owners, Ezra, who convinced me not only to take their tour, but to stay at their lodge in the rain forest and to let him plan our entire trip. We just returned from one of the most fantastic trips we have ever had. CR was incredibly beautiful, the people friendly, the wildlife unbelievable and the costs very reasonable." more>
