Against all odds, a new independent airline is starting up service in the eastern US, with flights to the Caribbean and Mexico as well. This is USA 3000, a brand-new off the rack airline based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and offering services already between eleven cities noted below. And some one-way fares are as low as $69, not including airport fees and taxes.
If you get yourself in gear between now and April 30, 2003, you can book a room at the jazzy Avalon Excalibur Resort in Acapulco for just $95 per night--and that's for two persons, with room, meals, domestic alcoholic beverages, tips and taxes, and scheduled resort activities included!
You can get yourself into hot water, for sure, in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, where you could spend all your waking hours in the world's largest hot springs pool. It appears to go one for miles, but is merely 405 feet long and 100 feet wide, the biggest pool I've ever seen in a lifetime of traveling. And if you can drag yourself back to your room, you'll find it costs as little as $105 until mid-March, then $139 for the high season (through September). Holiday rates, inexplicably, are $10 less than the high-season rates. The room rate includes free continental breakfast every morning in the poolside deli.

From Corinna Koehnenkamp: "I am planning on traveling to Europe in May using my frequent flier miles with Northwest Airlines. I began calling in October of last year to check on availability for flights but was told that no flights are available. I have been calling back approximately once per month, but still no availability."
From Lorna Hobbs: "Hi there, I am moving to Australia this year but am very concerned about the safety of my dog whilst in the cargo hold of the plane. I've heard some horror stories that are possibly going to make me rethink my decision to move. Does anyone know of any pet friendly airlines that they would recommend to get my pup over to Australia safely. Any and all help is truly appreciated. Thank you!"
From Helen: "We're a small group of teachers who have recently opened a home exchange for travelers in the U.S., Canada, Hawaii, and Mexico. You may list your home at no cost and begin trading homes with other members. Very user-friendly, we are dedicated exclusively to North American exchanges."
From Eggpuck: "I was recently on a cruise, the cruise line does not matter, the auctions occur on many different lines and I do not hold a single line accountable, and I made a purchase in which shortly after arriving home found available at a fraction of the cost."
From N Doster: "We will be in Rome the later part of March 2003. Does anyone have any suggestions for budget dining in around the city?"
