Fares to Mexico are pretty good right now, thanks to ongoing sales from several airlines that we recounted recently in our newsletter. We'd like to add a sale to that list, this one from US Airways. And current sales from Aeromexico and Mexicana go well beyond Cancun and Mexico City -- in Mexicana's case, to all of the airline's destinations.
Orlando Magicard has just released its latest version for 2004, plus we've got scads of current hotel offers.
Take one last look at this tropical paradise with this off-beat report.
New routes mean more competition and lower fares for everyone. We've been recounting a lot of the new routes in our newsletters over the past few months. Here's a complete update -- chart included!
Tuscany, Umbria, Rome -- the names of romantic places in Italy roll easily off the lips, as do the vowels of the language itself, evoking images of soft, rolling countryside and suntanned piazzas. Who wouldn't want to be in Italy, now that spring is there?

From Bonnie Weissman: "Hi, I live in VA near DC and wanted to alert my Frommers friends to an annual event which most tourists never see: the Georgetown House Tour, held once per year in late Apr or early May (this yr 26-27 Apr). Six different houses are shown each of the days, and a very generous 'high tea' is served by local ladies at the sponsoring church, St. John's Episcopal on "O" St. (itself quite lovely and historical) is included. The day fee, which includes a tour booklet and the high tea, is $35, $60 for both days; discounts for groups of ten or more."
From Sue Rosel: "I saw my luggage arrive on the baggage claim carousel at Miami International Airport, turned around to get a trolley, and in 30 seconds my luggage was gone! No, it was not mistaken identity, but a theft. Amazingly, the airport police stopped the thief on his exit from the airport with my and several other people's luggage in tow. I was one of the lucky ones! Keep your eyes on your bags at all times."
From Robert Boehm: "Continental's ticket change fee is $100, but there is a kicker. A change cannot be made through the internet so you will have to pay the $40 + premium per ticket to have the ticket changed via Continental phone agent."
From Anna Veronica: "Our family of 4, including a 6 year old and a 15 year old, is planning to drive to Okefenokee Swamp in June. Since we only have one day there, which of the 3 entrances would be best? Any recommendations as to what to do there? Nearby accomodations and dining?"
From Denise F: "I'm taking a hard look at booking a 15-day tour of Egypt with Djoser Tours. Anybody out there travel with this company or have any knowledge of them? I'm looking for something more comfortable than a backpacking/hostel type tour. I don't need four-star hotels, but have stayed at three-stars in Greece, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Britain and Brazil, so that's what I'm used to. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the travel agent at Djoser's Pennsylvania office when I spoke with her on the phone. I'd feel better, though, if I could hear from someone who went on a tour with this company and loved it."
