Tiptoe Through the Tulips: See Holland's Famous Flowers with Some Last Minute Planning
The ultimate tulip paradise is the Keukenhof Gardens, a 70-acre field outside the Dutch town of Lisse. The garden was founded in 1949 as a way for Holland's commercial tulip firms to show off their wares and has developed into a vast floral fantasia. Each of Holland's more than 90 tulip growers plants their own patch, and the colors can be overwhelming. more>

Budget Buenos Aires: Air and Hotel Combos Start from $100 a Day
Mention Argentina and people tend to thing of the tango, beef with every meal, the opulence of every major European city and juxtaposed with that a sunken economy and ever-growing poverty. The country's financial straits, while unfortunate, provide an opportunity to visit the country rather cheaply and contribute much-needed tourist dollars to the economy. We have two deals to Buenos Aires that are worth mentioning. more>

Flight Delays and Missed Connections with Ryanair
From Mary Pearce: "I recently flew from Salzburg to London on Ryanair. The flight was scheduled to leave at 10:00 a.m. and did not leave until 4:30 p.m. because of a mechanical problem with the plane. They take no responsibility for delays due to their fault. Not only do they not, as a matter of policy reroute pasengers, they will not allow you to fly on another flight of their own unless you pay $200 per person to do so." more>

Pack Light When Flying Northwest
From Cynthia VanderWielen: "I was charged $25 for a bag that weighed 60#. I told the clerk I only had one bag and he said, 'it doesn't matter it's over 50# I need $25.' So, I was better off packing 2 bags at 50# each since I would not be charged for carrying 100# as opposed to 60#. When I asked to speak with a manager he said, 'You're looking at him.' I found NWA rude and unreasonable." more>

Just Back from Paris: A Pleasant Trip Report
From Kathy Kapes: "We returned last night from six nights in Paris, and I wanted to write immediately to let everyone know what a wonderful trip we had! Everything was perfect -- so perfect, in fact, that I am on a Parisian high! The city is beautiful; the historical sites and museums outstanding, everyone was friendly and helpful, the weather was sunny and in the high 60's each afternoon, we encountered no rudeness, no safety issues, etc., etc. and we got to see places that we'd been dreaming of. We felt completely safe everywhere we went in Paris. No one paid any adverse attention to us, even when we spoke English in the metro and on the streets." more>

What NYC Attractions Would You Consider Overrated?
From Eric Dykstra: "I am wondering if there are some attractions in New York City that people think are overrated. I was in New York for one day last year and saw the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Times Square. But this time I will have a whole week. I am going to a Yankees game for sure. But anything else is up in the air." more>
