The World Health Organization is calling for restricting travel to Toronto, and the "Good" city officials cry foul. Here's the latest on how travel providers are handling the situation with updated change and cancellation policies.
This week, the airfare action seems to be wildest in the West. Alaska Air, Southwest and Jetblue are all making crisscrossing the country look cheap and easy, and two foreign airlines are duking it out with sales from the West to Western Europe.
Even though spring is here -- when prices rise with the temperatures -- Petrabax continues to offer budget packages to Spain. You read in this Newsletter about the outfit's amazing winter deal of six days in Madrid starting from a mere $499. Well, they don't disappoint with a new air/hotel combo to the Costa del Sol for early spring and late summer travel. Yes, the cost is more than the off off season of late winter, but not by much. The lowest base price starts from only $659 a head.
"We love you," says the management of Paris' Victoria Palace Hotel when speaking about Americans, and they are putting their money where their mouth is -- offering free rooms to American citizens on the night of Friday, July 4, 2003.

From Ronald Bartlett: "I've purchased many non-refundable tickets online in the past and have on occassion had to cancel. While a fee has always been imposed, I've never till now experienced the highway robbery policies of Delta, a policy which I'm unable to locate on their website. First they imposed a $100 cancellation fee. Second they said that I had to reschedule a trip by May 10, my original date of departure. "
From Charlie3446: "I am planning a trip to Williamsburg for the summer 2003. With four kids accommodations can be a challenge. Does anyone have suggestions without a break-the-bank pricetag? Any other ways to save money? Thanks."
From Marie StClair: "We are scheduled to go to Nashville this week and the airlines graciously contacted us to explain that we could change our reservations to return earlier without penalty. So we called our hotel, The Opryland Hotel, and asked to cancel our reservations because with the state of this country with war we would rather not extend our stay. Unfortunately they weren't so gracious."
From Kjester: "I don't even know where to begin to describe this place to you; it is a fantasy B&B run amok. Is this what it's like at Martha Stewart's house?? We stayed for 3 days, and by the time we checked out we were mesmerized; I hated to break the spell! Please consider staying here in little old Stockon NJ, if you are going to be in the area."
From Wendy E. "In the spring we will be going to visit relatives that have moved to West Chester, Ohio near Cincinnati. Can anyone suggest things of interest . The one thing that we will probably not miss is the Zoo. This will be our first trip to Cincinnati."
