As spring begins, so ends Miami's high season. Gone are the trendy Europeans and South Americans dancing the night away in area clubs and eating breakfast at 3:30pm. Gone are the crowds who make parking unbearable and getting a table at a restaurant just shy of impossible. Gone are the expensive hotel rooms taking advantage of exaggerated high-season prices.
More than a day of remembrance, Memorial Day can be a time for asking the big questions about democracy, and few environments are as conducive to such meditations as Gettysburg at sunset, after the bugler has sounded taps, or the placid green hills of Antietam, where a sacred hush prevails over the federally protected battlefield where 23,000 soldiers died in a single day.
Traveling on the Eurostar is a step up from regular European trains. Their state of the art locomotives also come with high levels of customer service, gourmet meals and attention to detail. Each train has up to 15 customer service attendants in easily recognizable uniforms. All speak fluent English, which can be helpful when you're traveling in a foreign country.
There is the serene, peaceful and idyllic Bali, where private villas are surrounded by acres of rice paddies and crystal-clear pools filled with floating lotus flowers. Where your all-day spa package includes watermelon juice served in between therapies, and fresh towels and sunscreen are provided each time you go for a swim.

From Trixiebee: "We're in the early stages of planning our RTW trip starting next Feb. I've found some great ideas (at least on paper) that may pan out to be fantastic things!"
From Travelingcouple: "I've heard many bad things about wearing caps, jeans, and tennis shoes in Europe. Can anyone clarify this for me? Will I be ok being comfortable? And is anyone familiar with any good traveling backpacks?"
From carey: "Found 5th Annual Stowe Weekend of Hope for Cancer Survivors in newsletter last month. Thanks so much!! It was truly a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anyone who's live has been touched by cancer. Stowe welcomed everyone with open arms and the experience was an invaluable one for my husband and I. It is always last weekend in April. There are many activities to participate in as well as volunteer opportunities throughout the weekend."
From tombiegel: "Spent a week in Purto Vallarta. Seven days is Paradise; four hours in hell. Time share sales pitch is horrble. We went through 3 tiers of sales personnel. By level 3 we begged to leave. The third salesman, aka Carl Malden, called my wife a liar. My wife was crying and they still tried to prevent us from leaving. We walked out sans 'gifts' and never received our vouchers from the peddler at the Marina."
From famlip: "I am trying to find the best hotel with 3 kids, that has the best location and comfortable sleeping arrangement. I have doubletree suites booked but only has a king and pull out which would not fit 3 kids comfortably and is out of the way location. Any suggestions that do not cost over $300 per night?"
