Moving Delta SkyMiles
From A Mayor: "I fear I know the answer to this after playing around online trying to figure out how to swap my SkyMiles for OnePass miles (looks like Delta is virtually the only airline not to permit transfers, anywhere, out of your account). But, I'm wondering if anyone out there has any pointers." more>

Where To Go for Seclusion in Hawaii
From Phil Brown: "My wife and I are in the early stages of planning a Hawaiian vacation. Both of us hate crowds, aren't much into nightlife and are considering staying on one of the less-traveled islands. We do want to see some of the popular tourist sites, but prefer more seclusion (especially at the beaches) than what I've heard about Maui, Oahu, Big Island, etc. Any suggestions on where to stay and advice on how to get from island to island?" more>

My First Cruise Will Be my Last Cruise
From Michelle Bellinger: "I just got back from my first cruise, and it was awful! It was a 4 day cruise from NYC to Halifax on Carnival Victory. The food was disgusting, the drinks had hardly any alcohol in them, the entertainment was mediocre, and the pools were crowded. After exploring the ship on the first night, there was nothing else to experience." more>

Minnesota Houseboating & Log Cabins: A Trip Report
From Jenny Wheat: "Here is our review of a beautiful Northern Minnesota houseboating lake. We just got back from a great trip to Northern Minnesota, on beautiful, peaceful Lake Birch. We wanted to let others know about Timber Bay Lodge and Houseboats. Timber Bay is located in Babbitt, Minnesota in a beautiful woodsy setting. They have a number of log cabins you can rent, as well as a small fleet of very nicely kept houseboats." more>

Traveling the Ferry System in Alaska
From Sandy Hay: "I am interested in the alaskan ferry system recommended by a friend. Can anyone share experiences they have had using it? Also, compare to cruise ship experence? Do the ferries get closer to the whales and calving ice because they are smaller ships?" more>
