Deilmann offers luxe outings through the Indian Ocean, with special discounts for Americans; Carnival puts all of August on sale; forget steerage, sail queerage on the QE2 with a gay cruise in January; test the waters with HAL's brief itineraries -- perfect for the first time cruiser; plus our usual round-up of the best deals out there.
St. Louis, city of about 332,000, the famous arch, a fabulous zoo, and some of the friendliest people in the Midwest, offers more than sixty free things to do, a number that's second only to Washington, D.C. We've culled the best of the free (and almost free) here but there are countless other churches, museums and historic sites too numerous to detail that are perfect for exploring.
Nothing like low-priced travel, Christmas carols, European hand-made objets d'art, and pretty town squares going on 600 years old to get the blood flowing. While Christmas in America is the patriotic thing to do, European Christmas Markets make for charming Christmas-time travel to the Old World.
What better way to really discover the country you are traveling in than to stay amongst its people and experience their lives and culture first hand.

From Tricia Conklin: "I am looking for some unique ideas for a roadtrip to begin in Rhode Island and ending in midstate Florida in mid-August for 10 days. We would like to parasail, skydive and white water river raft for example along the way. I realize to do the rafting we will probably have to go as far west as West Virginia and then head back along the coast. Does any one have any great ideas of where to go and what to do?"
From Geraldine: "We just returned from our great Maui vacation! As I promised I will report on our stay. We stayed at Peace of Maui! It was just great! It was everything it advertised. It was comfy, clean and very nice friendly atmosphere! We had a great time there! We enjoyed the hot tub, the use of the computer, the in- room fridges and the in-room TVs, the huge kitchen and the lounge! Everyone was so nice. We met many out of country teachers."
From mmicheli : "I'll be traveling to Ireland in less than two weeks and am hoping to do some bike riding in Killarney National Park and on the Dingle Pennisula."
From rory: "I know this is a hot button issue ... and I am hoping to initiate a discussion where folks can discuss the pros and cons of traveling with young children and babies with a bit of level-headedness."
From stephanieNYNY: "Hello, I'll be visiting Australia for the first time this October. I want to visit Kakadu Natl park and could use some advice."
