From Borderwalk: "As in all business transactions in China, the concept of 'buyer beware' certainly applies when hiring a tour guide in Beijing. I offer our recent, costly experience with a Beijing tour guide so that future travelers may avoid the mistakes we made."
From Hubertus Rank: "We have just returned from a vacation at the Lake Midway, which is location on Digby Neck, Nova Scotia. We stayed in a small cottage right at the lake which was magnificent! The location is for all nature lovers which like the rural outdoor vacation but with all necessary comfort."
From albernfrau: "The highlights of this three country trip were: the 'Castle Route' in Germany; the towns of Edam and Marken, Netherlands; the Zaanse Schans outdoor museum in Netherlands; and everything in Brugge."
From Martha Tellefsen: "My husband Jim and I took the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle in late August 2006. I'm 57 and he's 72 and had had knee replacement surgery 6 weeks before the trip. So this was our first trip in which we were tuned into the needs of disabled travelers. We live in North Alabama and flew American nonstop from Huntsville to Chicago, stayed with friends the night before boarding the Empire Builder."
From debswild: "We were on a trolley car and asked the driver for some advice on restaurants. He pointed us to The Majestic and said we had to go as they had great prices and fantastic food. Of course we had to try them. Well, he was 100% right."
