Nestled between Mexico and Guatemala on the Caribbean coastline, Belize offers a unique mix of tropical jungles, diverse wildlife, majestic mountains, Mayan temples, and some of the best scuba diving and fishing in the Caribbean. Belize is a paradise for those travelers seeking outdoor adventures on land or in the water.
The noun, short for weblog, was defined by the dictionary as a "site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments, and often hyperlinks provided by the writer." Here are a few of our favorites.
We finish up our amazing trip to Italy as we tour Italy's second largest region, Piemonte, and its capital, Torino. We left off last week after a four-hour feast in the hills of Torino. I thought that was long meal, but as you'll soon see, that was nothin'.
A record breaking 7.3 million tourists poured into the state in 2005 and even more are expected in 2006. Occupancy rates in hotels are regularly running at 80% to 90% full, and at more than 90% during peak periods. I'd suggest that frugal visitors avoid the very popular summer months and Christmas vacation. Don't expect "deals" during these months, but with a little advanced planning, you can find plenty of bargains during the rest of the year.

From Larry Tighe: "My family and I visited Tanzania in June. We received so much great info on the forums that I wanted to contribute this info for others."
From lkoday: "My husband and I just returned from 3 weeks in Fiji in August 2005. This was our second trip to Fiji. We spent our first week diving at Beqa Island Resort. Great diving, food and accomodations. Request a Beach Bure 1-5 for the best rooms."
From keepontrekkin: "Anyone else had any positive experiences with getting surgery in another country? I am self-employed with catastrophic insurance only, so back in May when I got the price tag for some non-elective surgery in my own hometown, I about flipped. A friend of mine helped me set up the medical procedure in Germany and it cost me less than 20% of what I would have had to fork out here."
From Colin: "My family and I had a memorable time in the UK. The different shades of green in the countryside were breathtaking. The sheer amount of history was overwhelming. In visiting some heritage properties I discovered the works of the Adam family (famous architects in the 1700¿s) I am now a huge fan of the Adam Style."
From breeski: "We just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks in NZ with our teenage boys ages 14 and 17. Many of the folks who use this site were very helpful with tips for us in planning our trip. Thought I'd add a brief trip report for others travelling with teens."
