From mkjeld: "We are cruising northbound from Vancouver May 27. Flightseeing is offered at so many ports, which is the best flightseeing shore excursion (or self-booked)? Shoretrips.com offers an express flightseeing trip to Denali from Anchorage that takes 3 hours. Any advice on this trip? Cruiseline offers snorkeling shoretrip in Ketchikan. Any advice on this? Thanks!"
From Shirley Ramsey: "Does anyone know if when you depart the ship at each port in Hawaii (4 different islands) there are locals available offering their services with vans to take you sightseeing at a reasonable price? On the other cruises we have been on, you could walk right off the ship and there were people all over offering deals for sightseeing ventures."
From mkennedy: "Two families (three adults and two teens) are cruising with stops in Cozumel and Calica/Playa del Carmen in June for our first cruise. Should we book shore excursions ourselves via the net before we leave or use Carnival's excursion packages? I have heard that booking yourself gets better prices and smaller tour groups. Please share your experiences with us."
From aswest: "My family and I will be taking a week-long cruise of the Caribbean in October on Mariner of the Seas. Does anyone know anything about the ship? What about excursions in Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Ochos Rios? Is there anything we just shouldn't miss? We've already done Stingray City in Grand Cayman on a cruise last year and don't want to do it again."
From Rodderick Andersen: "Why are only the passengers with shore tours booked with the cruise line allowed to get off the ship in Gatun Lake?"
