In Bermuda, you don't have the throngs that routinely descend on the Caribbean ports of Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Nassau and St. Thomas. That all is going to change.
Here's some of the best deals a handful of major travel agencies are advertising this week.
Everyone says the world is a smaller place than it once was. Sure, we still have a hard time visiting places like North Korea, Burma, and Saudi Arabia, but this week saw yet another previously difficult travel destination open up big-time.

From shellmiya: "I would appreciate feedback/advice. Which land excursions have you enjoyed the most while in Alaska (Ports: Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway)? Would you book on the dock or through Princess? Thank you!"
From Elinda Kiss: "Our parents generously took their daughters and sons-in-law on vacation in June sailing on the Grand Princess (on which we had sailed the Mediterranean). We cruised the Baltic Sea roundtrip from Copenhagen, with scheduled stops in Nynashamn (for Stockholm), Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Gdynia (for Gdansk), Warnemunde (for Berlin), Helsingor (for tours) and Copenhagen."
From Edie Banducci: "Can someone suggest a cruise line for the Greek Islands that does not cater exclusively to Americans. I would like to meet travelers from other countries. Thank you."
From David Sumbardo: "We just returned from a 12 day river cruise with Viking River Cruises (www.vikingrivercruises.com) . We had a great time and strongly recommend them to anyone who is interested in crusiing down the Rhne, Main and Danube Rivers with daily on shore excursions with local guides to towns along the rivers. The staff, cabin and food were outstanding."
From Barbara Bert: "I am a senior who has just reserved a Panama Canal cruise. I have taken city tours by bus in Europe and China at earlier times in my life. I was pleased; at those times I was really able to get up early and keep up with the schedule. Now I am considering that I might feel less rushed and could avoid being taken to selected art, jewelry, fabric, glass and other commercial enterprises, if I hired a local taxi to take me about. I am very interested in visiting neighborhoods, seeing how folks live in the everyday, seeing local markets and eating in local restaurants. I will be grateful for anyone's experience in setting out on their own by taxi for a 1/2 to full day."
