Here are some of the best deals a handful of major travel agencies are advertising this week, along November discounts from Costa Cruises, Windjammer, MSC and more.
Some of us are drawn to the glamour and excitement of the staggeringly giant action-packed mega ships, while others gravitate to small vessels for the exact opposite reasons. No matter what your taste, there's a ship of your dreams somewhere out there.
For 2007, cruise lines big and small are increasing their presence in Asia, visiting Southeast Asian nations like Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, as well as the East Asian nations of China, Japan, and Korea. For some lines, the intent is to lure American passengers abroad, but others have their eyes on the local market as well.
The ghost of Renaissance Cruises has a good week at Oceania, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and easyCruise. Meanwhile, cruising goes to college, Crystal goes to Dubai, and Windstar takes your luggage.

From jwcw: "How the heck does one person know if a ship is soon to be in dry dock for lots of refurbishment? We went on the Veendam in December 2005, then in January it went to Freeport for lots of changes. How can I find out when one will soon be going in for changes or refurbishments? Is there a place or website to let us know before we book?"
From nbevins: "I signed up at carnival website and received a phone call asking if I was interested in booking. I was offered the best upgrade possible. Do any of you book directly with Carnival as they have best price?"
From monkkeetale: "For those considering a cruise, check out the Clipper Cruise line. There are some real advantages to sailing on a small ship: No crowds, easier to meet people (especially if single like me), no fancy entertainment, emphasis is on local history and sights, and good food."
From 1kara: "We were wondering if anyone knew if there is any way of combining loyalty programs that are under the P & O umbrella. We're in the Captain's Circle with Princess and are interested in taking a Carnival cruise. Could this cruise be applied towards our Circle club?"
From travelinggrammy: "We are doing back-to-back cruises out of Port Everglades. One is on the Costa Magica (berth 21) that leaves this weekend. We return back to Port Everglades on 11/26 and sail later that same day on Princess (berth 2). Question: Does anyone have any personal experience on how we can get from one berth to the other? We're not sure if cabs are there."
