Just below the Hotel Mercure, this is one of the best places to eat in Poitiers, hands down. Set in a beautiful large space with a mezzanine level, this was once the Gésu chapel and today is a restaurant, bar, tearoom, and sometimes live music space. The food is excellent, with an emphasis on updating French classics with whatever is in season. A good range of vegetarian options is also available, including an excellent coriander and coconut milk risotto. Reservations are required.
