We've Found a Secret Sale on Fares to LondonVirgin Atlantic via Travelocity is having the sale of the decade (the best sale ever?) to London. By George Hobica Airfarewatchdog.com February 13, 2006 We thought it was a classic blooper fare. It had to be. London in May, June, July, and August for $400 round-trip? With taxes included? Nonstop? We gave it a few hours at most before someone at Travelocity caught it and then sent out the pink slips. But we were wrong. It¿s still available. Here¿s the deal: Travelocity (www.travelocity.com) is selling seats on Virgin Atlantic to London from Boston, New York-JFK, Newark, Washington Dulles, San Francisco and Los Angeles for $401-$471 round-trip including fees and taxes. Last day of travel is early January 2007 and technically you can fly any day of the week. When this deal first appeared over the weekend seats were wide open for peak months of June, July, and August, when you¿d normally pay $800-$1,000 round-trip to London. Now, there are still seats during those prime months on some routes, especially from the New York area, although from Boston and Washington you may have to settle for March-May or October onward travel. Still, these are great fares even for those months. You can only book on Travelocity, not on Virgin¿s site. No other airline is matching.
