Lower Fares for South Carolina and Surrounding Areas

Southwest has announced plans to add both Charleston and Greenville-Spartanburg to its roster of cities. This will likely have an impact on fares not only in GSP and CHS, but in nearby airports such as Asheville and Savannah (where low-cost carrier AirTran recently cut service, causing fares to skyrocket).

Start dates and flight schedules have yet to be released, but service is expected to begin sometime in 2011. More information available from www.southwest.com.
