This week's Smart Deal comes from Delta Vacations (tel. 800/800-1504; www.deltavacations.com), which created this Las Vegas package exclusively for Frommer's readers in conjunction with our Girlfriend Getaways feature. It's a steal of a deal -- three nights in Vegas from $287, with airfare.

This package includes three nights at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, on the Strip near the Bellagio fountains. The hotel has a spa and a host of restaurants, including a steakhouse, a pub, and contemporary French fare at Andre's.

If you're heading to Vegas with a group of girlfriends, Delta can hook you up with a Las Vegas evening city tour that shows you all the highlights, via your own private car (add $60 per person). The Shop and Beauty Tour (add $90 per person) includes a facial, professional make-up application, and a bunch of other promotions and coupons for places such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Macy's, and more.

Delta also offers a lowest price guarantee -- if you find a lower price for the same trip, they'll match it and give you $50 toward a future trip. Make sure you use this code when booking: DVGG0411.

How much can you save with this deal? A quick check of flights on May 16 from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas showed a Delta fare from $139 and rates for a deluxe room at Monte Carlo at $180 per night ($540 for the three-night stay). If booked separately, you'd expect to pay at least $818 for two people ($409 per person). Booking this package would then save each traveler about $125, just enough for a nice meal or an excuse to do a little shopping.

Trip Type: Air-inclusive; independent

What the Quoted Price Gets You: Round-trip airfare from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas, three nights at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, hotel taxes, and fuel surcharges.

What Else You'll Have to Pay: Government taxes and fees of $21.40

Book By: May 15

When: May 16, June 13, 20; July 11, 18, 25; promotion is valid through August 31.

Other Gateways: Los Angeles (from $282), Detroit (from $313), Atlanta (from $357), Minneapolis-St. Paul (from $367).

All prices are per person and, if lodging is a component of the package, based upon two people traveling together (unless otherwise noted). The prices listed are general starting rates; see "What Else You'll Have to Pay" for details about associated taxes and fees. Base-prices, taxes, and fees can vary based on point of departure and time of travel. Blackout dates may apply. Trip add-ons like sightseeing tours and meal plans may also increase the price. Check with the tour operator for additional gateways and any single supplements, which is the extra cost that a solo traveler would pay to book the deal.
