Five-Night Barcelona Vacation, from $1,099 with Air

Expect to save at least $50 by booking this five-night Barcelona deal, plus you'd receive arrival transfers, a guided walking tour, and a sightseeing bus tour at no extra cost.

TourCrafters (tel. 800/621-2259; www.tourcrafters.com) is offering a spring vacation to Barcelona, renowned for its excellent food and Gaudí architecture. The five-night Barcelona package starts at $1,099 with round-trip flights.

Accommodations are at the four-star Hotel Condes de Barcelona, two 19th-century palaces on the Passeig de Gracìa. You're within walking distance of several buildings designed by Antoní Gaudí himself -- his La Pedrera is across the street. You don't want to miss a visit to La Sagrada Família, Gaud&iacute's Basilica that's more than 100 years in the making. And how often can you stay at a hotel with a two-star Michelin restaurant? With Martín Berasategui's Lasarte, Hotel Condes de Barcelona has just that.

According to a recent Kayak search, round-trip airfare to Barcelona from New York City would cost at least $625 in mid-March. A five-night stay booked directly through the hotel website would cost €759 ($1,037) for two people, or $518 per person. By booking this package, you would save almost $50 when compared to buying airfare and hotel independently -- plus you'd receive the arrival transfers, walking tour, and bus ticket at no extra cost.

What the Quoted Price Gets You: Round-trip airfare from New York to Barcelona, arrival transfers, five nights' hotel, a two-hour guided walking tour of Modernist (Art Nouveau) Barcelona, a hop-on/hop-off bus ticket, and airline fuel surcharges.
