Systemwide Sale from AirTran

AirTran (tel. 800/AIR-TRAN; is having a systemwide sale, and although the fares aren't nearly as good as their frequent 2-Day sales, there's still the occasional deal to be had, particularly to Pensacola and Savannah. All fares below are round-trip.

This sale is good for travel through November 12, and all tickets must be booked by April 8 at midnight ET. Blackout dates fall in late May and June, as well as around the July 4th holiday.

New Grand Junction Service from American Eagle

American Eagle (tel. 800/433-7300; has reduced fares to/from Grand Junction, Co. in honor of their new nonstop service between Dallas Ft. Worth and Grand Junction. These fares are good for travel April 7 through June 7, and include the following round-trips:

Keep in mind, these fares are reversible as well!

Tokyo Sale for Spring

American Airlines (tel. 800/433-7300; has once again put Tokyo on sale. The official rules specify a very limited travel period (April 25 to May 8), but don't be put off by the small print because from a number of cities we found seats for the entire month of April and sometimes far into May, either on American or a competitor offering similar or even better fares. Please note that as rare exception to our general policy of including taxes for international fares, these sale fares are exclusive of taxes that officially can add up to $200 to the total cost, but in reality often run as low as $20-50. As always, be sure to compare fares on Orbitz before you buy to make sure you're getting the best deal. All fares below are round-trip.

Southwest Sale from $98 RT

All tickets must be booked by April 17th and require a 14-day advance purchase.
