Despite ping-ponging oil prices, there are indeed routes on sale to spots foreign and domestic. This week we've corralled some stunners to Paris and New Zealand.

New Yorkers take note: round-trip flights to Paris are currently on sale from $238 on Air France (www.airfrance.us; click the "2-Day Sale" link). It's short-lived - you must purchase by the end of the day April 1, but travel is valid for departures through April 28, with the latest return date set for May 26. Departures are on any of 8 flights a day out of JFK, Mondays through Thursdays. With taxes and surcharges, it rounds out to a low $324. We learned of this fare from new guy on the blog, George Hobica, formerly of AOL Travel, who's started his own personal site, The New York Airfare Report, which lists hidden fares missed by major reservation sites. It's updated daily and definitely worth a gander; go to http://newyorkairfares.blogspot.com.

Speaking of Paris, if you want more than just airfare for your bargain buck, 1-800-FLY-EUROPE (www.800flyeurope.com) has extended it's buy-by deadline to April 8 for three-night air and hotel packages. Prices start from just $499 that includes round-trip airfare, accommodations at the Pavia Hotel and breakfast each day. A company rep let us know that the company would be adding even more deals later this week. For full details on this package, click over to www.1800flyeurope.com/tzoo-paris.cfm.

Europe not your bag? Consider visiting the other side of the world with Air New Zealand's new sale fares. You can fly from Honolulu, Los Angeles or San Francisco to Auckland from $650 roundtrip. Fares to Christchurch, in the south island, are also based from $650 out or LAX; for departures from either San Francisco or Honolulu, the price jumps to $799. Taxes and additional fees come to about $65. You have until April 15 to buy, with travel valid through July 8, letting you enjoy the country's fall and winter seasons.
